Infopath Form \ Query Specific Item

Custom list > Create New Item > InfoPath Form

1. I create new item

2. Workflow runs and fills some fields

3. I want to update InfoPath form (the same i used to create item) to show fields filled by workflow

To do this in the rules of a button i insert:

1. Submit data using Main Data Connection

2. Query data using Main Data Connection

3. Then switch view to Results

But as a result i get the first item in the list (not current).

So how do i make a query to a specific list item, which was just created?

Why not just let InfoPath fill in the fields, instead of workflow?

hi evernite ,

I get a specific item , pass Id of the item also in the Query data using Main Data Connection.

so in your sequence mentioned above

To do this in the rules of a button i insert:

1. Submit data using Main Data Connection

2. Set Field in Main Data Connection(select the secondarry DS) -> Query Fields -> ID

3. Query data using Main Data Connection

4. Then switch view to Results.
